to and from the St. Lawrence Seaway, Port Aux Basques is well placed

grown in recent years and enjoys a thriving lodging and retail
market to service tourists to Newfoundland as well as communities
surrounding the town. National retailers in the market include
Canadian Tire, Shoppers Drug Mart Tim Horton's, Subway, Scotia Bank
and the Bank of Montreal.
Finally, Port aux Basque supports a complete range of
educational facilities including all levels of public schooling and
a campus of the College of the North Atlantic.
